My Journal

I started journaling my game ideas at age 9, and later began documenting my competition experiences here so I can look back on them one day!

The playfield came today! We are going to do mapping, where everyone does a certain part in the field, and we combine our methods.

Samhit brought his thumb drive with all the codes he has done at home. He has done all the basic codes needed, and he already started on doing the code to go from Home Base to Factory to collect the blocks. We finished that today, along with a code to move a block to the Rechargeable Battery area.

We had a new group member joining us, whose name is Aavyan. Our group name is SGPS 1.

Today, we still did not have the playfield, but we received a picture of it, without the blocks. Samhit brought his robot, and I brought mine too. His had arms and a passive attachment(which we would not take off, and looked like this: |_|_|_|), with the space between the cross-axles just large enough to fit the bricks perfectly, with some extra space.

We decided to use his, because he told me that in IDE, the tasks mainly involve:

  • Pushing Blocks

  • Collecting Blocks

  • Moving Blocks to Specific areas in the field

Which are all things his robot was designed to do.

Samhit actually has the playfield at home, so he is starting to code some simple things, like collecting blocks from the garage. Things are going well!
